Rex,

The HM.applications document is turning out really nice. It has certainly
evolved from the original list.

What we have here is an early testament to the potential for HM is
real-world and tangible applications. I believe we can use such application
proposals for outreach to interested parties. By appealing to the particular
needs of a certain researcher or group we can give them reason to
participate in HM research.

This application specific outreach should form a core part of all future
outreach efforts. Appealing to the needs of a diverse community will
essentially draw more people into the HM community.
