Standards
effort within HL7 and OMG
All:
If you are subscribed to these lists, we presume that you
are aware of
the work going on en route to the
development of healthcare services
standards in
support of service architecture needs. This is an effort
that is emerging in both the HL7 and OMG groups.
HL7 and OMG have been
working together to
understand the process and workflow between the
organizations, and based upon the most recent meetings it appears
that
we are coming together on a viable and
productive model to support this
effort.
For this effort to be successful, we are seeking
commitment from
organizations and individuals
willing to participate in making these
standards
happen. Attached is a "generic" commitment letter asserting
support for this effort along with the HL7-side of the
project charter.
An OMG roadmap describing this
effort will be distributed in the coming
weeks.
I ask for you to consider submitting your commitment and
talent to this
important effort. Feel free
to customize the letter as appropriate.
I'll ask
that you submit electronic copies to both me and the
listserv(s) above, and a paper copy to the address below. We
look
forward to your participation and thank you
for your consideration.
