Subject: Re: [ihc] Ballot on Elkin/Madden motion for new subcommittee
The ballot is working, since I just used it to vote yes for this excellent activity. I would like to join the Subcommittee and offer the use of the ebXML Registry-Repository I am building as the Health Informatics Registry component of a combined Emergency Management and Health Informatics Registry-Repository using ebxmlrr3.0 initially. The collaboratory I work with will then switch to the Sun Service Registry which is both uddi- and ebXML-capable. This is part of a Semantic Interoperabiity and Service Oriented Architecture Pilot originally initiated at the suggestion of the federal CIO Council's Semantic Interoperability Community of Practice (SICoP) and which is scheduled to be part of the upcoming SOA for E-Government Conference http://colab.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?SOAforEGovernment_2006_05_2324 at Mitre in McLean, VA just outside Washington, D.C. May 23-24, 2006. Also, I am presenting the Health Informatics Registry project at the OASIS Symposium next week. I suppose the timing might be better, but I'm darned if I know how. So thanks, Drs. Elkin and Madden, and I look forward to working to realize this capability. Regards, Rex Brooks P.S. Thanks to Jamie, too, for facilitating this effort.
