Interpretation in LegalRuleML

After discussion some time ago about interpretation, I did some reading/thinking about the topic.  It seems to me that some indication of interpretive heuristic might be essential for legalruleML since such heuristics play an important role in understanding what any piece of law means relative to context.  An interesting resource in this regard is:

Antonin Scalia and Bryan A. Garner

This catalogs the various interpretive tools.  They argue for textual basis for interpretation, but that is not the key use of the book for our purposes.  Will be interesting to see if this will fit into legalruleML or not.

Perhaps this is a topic for discussion in the TC tomorrow.
