Subject: FW: [legalxml-courtfiling] Electronic Filing Technical CommitteeConference Call Today??? Call for agenda items
ECF TC: We did not have a great turn-out on the call Tuesday so for those of you who were unable to attend, here are the high points: 1. I have been working with the Arizona Supreme Court to develop a SIP based on a IBM Websphere MQ. As a locally routed protocol, MQ is very different than globally routed solutions like web services which presents some challenges to satisfying some of the requirements of a SIP, particularly in MDE addressing. That said, we are developing solutions for these issues and should have a good draft ready for review by the TC in early November. 2. The Open Government Initiative presentation at Stanford on November 9 will be a good opportunity to get our message out in front of interested groups in academia and Silicon Valley industry and potentially recruit additional participants in OASIS. I am attaching the session description and the position statement I was asked to provide as a speaker. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on what else I should say as a representative of OASIS and LegalXML. 3. On the phone call, we decided that we need to schedule a face-to-face meeting in the next few months to discuss the future direction of the TC. We will try to coordinate via email on a time and location that will allow for maximum participation. Thanks, James E. Cabral Jr., Senior Manager MTG Management Consultants, L.L.C. 1111 Third Avenue, Suite 3010 Seattle, Washington 98101-3292 (206) 442-5010 Phone (502) 509-4532 Mobile (206) 442-5011 Fax Helping our clients make a difference in the lives of the people they serve. I need to update the TC on our development with the AZ Supreme Court of an MQ SIP. If we do not meet, I can probably handle that in an email to the TC list. 2. Finally, I have been invited to represent OASIS and LegalXML in a discussion on Open Government and standards at Stanford November 9. The audience will be mostly academics and industry. I would like to get some input from the group on what messages we want to send to these groups. Again, this probably can be handled via email. 3. At E-courts East, Dallas Powell suggested that it might be time to start working on the next major or minor version of ECF. It would be good to take the temperature of the group on whether the timing is right for this and to brainstorm what features might be included in such a version. This really needs to be handled ideally in a face-to-face or, alternatively, via a TC conference call. jim From: Robin.Gibson@courts.mo.gov [mailto:Robin.Gibson@courts.mo.gov] Please let me know if you have any agenda items for today's conference call. I will send a message out at 11:00 Eastern time confirming with an agenda or cancelling. |
