Subject: FW: ECF to SSP
ECF TC: We will need to make a minor correction to a reference to the WS-I Basic Security Profile (BSP) in the Web Services SIP 2.01 spec. The reference should be to the BSP 1.0 rather than 1.1. I have already submitted the specifications for 15 day public review so we can apply the fix after the review completes. See below for details. BSP 1.1 was not finalized at the time that the Web Services SIP v 2.01 was developed – therefore, the reference should be to the BSP 1.0 spec. The TC will need to fix that reference after the next public review. Thanks, Jim Cabral Helping our clients make a difference in the lives of the people they serve. From: James Douglas [mailto:jdouglas@search.org] Jim C., I did notice when reviewing the ECF 4.0 WS-SIP that the document calls out “Basic Security Profile 1.0 ([WS-I BSP 1.0]”, however, section 1.5 references BSP 1.1 (see attached with marks and notes). Assuming BSP 1.0, the ECF SIP complies with the GRA WS SIP expect for the GRA WS-SIP references WS-Security 1.0 (not 1.1). Let me know which version of BSP the ECF references and I’ll complete the comparison with GRA WS-SIP and RM WS-SIP. Thanks. Jim D. From: James Douglas [mailto:jdouglas@search.org] Jim(s), Attached are my comments on the ECF to SSP conversion. We can discuss on the THU call. It doesn’t look too bad. I could help by building the .wsdl if you would like. jd ________________________________________________ Jim Douglas Justice Information Systems Specialist Systems & Technology Program| SEARCH Tel. 916-710-0320 | jdouglas@search.org | www.search.org |
