[OASIS members] Results of the OASIS Board of Directors elections

OASIS Members,

We are pleased to announce the results of the annual OASIS Board of
Directors elections.  As you know, there were 15 highly qualified
candidates running for 4 seats on the board.

On behalf of OASIS, our staff and members, allow me to publicly
congratulate the following individuals for being selected by our
membership:

Ed Cobb, BEA
Colin Evans, Intel
Patrick Gannon, OASIS
Laura Walker, Federal Reserve Bank

These individuals will join the 4 board members who will be continuing
in their term, which expires in 2003:

Jim Hughes, Hewlett Packard
Chris Kurt, Microsoft
Simon Nicholson, Sun Microsystems
Michael, Weiner, IBM

The above eight board members will be responsible for continuing the
vision of our consortium that has made OASIS the success it is.  The
new board members will be officially seated at the board meeting 31
July, 1 August.

During this meeting, we will be formally expressing our gratitude to
Una Kearns, Documentum and Norbert Mikula, Intel; who will not be
continuing on the Board.  Their prior contributions are notable, their
dedication commendable, their commitment appreciated.

These are very challenging and exciting times for OASIS and the
members we serve.  Our organization continues to grow in membership
and global influence.  We look forward for continued success under our
new board as we achieve yet greater things for and by the members of
OASIS.
