The Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0 Channel Binding Extensions 1.0 enables requesters and responders to modify protocol behavior in a generic, layered fashion. SAML is an XML-based framework for communicating user authentication, entitlement, and attribute information. Congratulations to TC co-chairs, Thomas Hardjono of MIT and Nathan Klingenstein of Internet2, and to all TC members for accomplishing this milestone.

The Unified Modeling Language (UML) Committee Note describes the UBL 2.1 common library and document models using UML.
