With a recent retirement, a seat on the OASIS board is now available through a Special Election.
Jenny Huang has retired from AT&T and the OASIS Board after joining the board in 2015. Jenny was an exemplar "end-user technology firm" representative in standards and open source development both in OASIS and across a wide range of our peer organizations. Her experience and insight helped OASIS evolve our strategies toward serving a future of intertwined open standards and open source deliverables.
To fill the void, a Special Election has been initiated. Nominations will be accepted through 6 September 2018. Balloting will follow, ending on 28 September.
The winner of this special election will be seated at the October Board meeting and will serve through July 2019
Many thanks to Jenny for her past contributions to OASIS. We know she will approach the opportunities that come from early retirement with the same smile, enthusiasm for what is possible and focus on making the best possible future happen.
And we look forward to an exciting Special Election helping the OASIS leadership develop our best possible future.
