Frederick has served on the Board since 2003 with extraordinary commitmentÂand energy. He stands out as an exemplar of what volunteer leadership looks like. ÂHe has held every board leadership position whenever his service was needed - Chair, Vice-chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. He was active in and at various times he chaired the Finance, Governance, IPR, Strategy and Staffing Committees. Additionally he was regularly involved in the Process CommitteeÂand as TAB Liaison. Nearly 2 decades of OASIS' evolutionÂhave seen the influence of Frederick's participationÂand leadershipÂevery step along the way.
Elected a record 10 times, Frederick earned the respect of all OASIS members through unwavering focus on doing what is bestÂfor the consortium and doing his work with a focus on detail few could match. The staff and his fellow board members have depended on his steadfast support and will miss his friendship, sense of humor and service to the consortium.ÂÂ
And while it seemed that we would always be able to depend on Frederick, all good things must come to an end. Therefore, a Special Election will be held later this year (November/December) to fill the board vacancy in accordance with the Bylaws.ÂÂ
We wish Frederick good luck and good health as he approaches the next chapters in his life. We hope that those future chapters are as long and successful as was his time with OASIS.Â
