[mgmtprotocol] DMTF Management Protocol and Operations

From a discussion group call in early June, I had the action to supply info
on the DMTF and related open-source work on management interoperability.
This work is done as part of the WBEM (Web-Based Enterprise Management)
initiative.  More information can be found at:

1.  Info on the open-source initiative can be found at www.wbemsource.org.
From that page, you can see participants, technical tracks, etc.

2.  General info on what the DMTF is trying to accomplish with WBEM/CIM and
a common model is captured in the DevCon presentations from Monday, June
10th (DMTF Standards Overview and WBEM Overview).  All of the DevCon
presentations can be found at http://www.dmtf.org/devcon/devcon02/.  BTW,
the "DMTF Standards Overview" presentation is being turned into a white
paper/briefing document - that work will be complete in July.

3.  General info and links for all the DMTF standards can be found from the
page, http://www.dmtf.org/standards/index.php.
