Subject: MQTT-SN Open Repository - Contributions and Structure
Hello all, as a result of the workshop we held today, we decided on the following principles for the recently created MQTT-SN Samples Open Repository (https://github.com/oasis-open/mqtt-sn-sample-resources): all contributions to be made in the form of Pull Requests which must get the approval of at least one maintainer before being merged. The review and merge must be made by different maintainers all Pull Requests must be made to the develop branch releases will be made periodically as decided by the maintainers as a group, by promoting the sub-projects that are ready to the main branch. Each release will be tagged. Maintenance will only take place on the develop branch (that is, no maintenance on anything other than the latest release). (This is to keep things as simple as possible each contribution will be made to a sub-project, which will have its own named directory - that name to be unique to the entire repository and representative of the contents of the sub-project. The name of each sub-project will be decided by the maintainers and contributor together each sub-project must have a README describing the contents and how to build and install, at a minimum each sub-project will have a build and install mechanism specific to that sub-project all source files will have a header with a copyright statement, a reference to the applicable license (Apache 2). This header may also have a reference to the MQTT-SN Github repository and contribution history Feel free to make any suggestions or ask any questions to this mailing list, or at an MQTT-SN SC meeting. Ian Craggs, along with Simon Johnson, Tara Walker and Anja Helmbrecht-Schaar
