OASIS WS-Reliability Approved as OASIS Standard

The Consortium has announced that the Web Services Reliability
(WS-Reliability) v1.1 specification, developed by the OASIS Web Services
Reliable Messaging (WSRM) TC, has now been approved as an OASIS Standard.
WS-Reliability establishes an interoperable method of ensuring message
delivery over the internet, enabling companies to conduct reliable
transactions utilizing Web services. Congratulations to the OASIS WSRM TC
participants, and to all OASIS members who took part in the review and

OASIS Standard Vote on SAML Token Profile and REL Token Profile Opens

OASIS members are strongly encouraged to cast ballots on two Committee
Drafts that have been submitted for consideration as OASIS Standards, the
SAML Token Profile and the REL Token Profile. The SAML Token Profile serves
to establish rules regarding the use of SAML v1.1 assertions with the Web
Services Security (WSS): SOAP Message Security specification. Similarly, the
REL Token Profile sets guidelines for using ISO/IEC 21000-5 Rights
Expressions with WSS: SOAP Message Security. Voting ends 30 Nov.

Federated Identity Management Solutions Showcase

Members of the OASIS Security Services Technical Committee are preparing to
host a SAML 2.0 OASIS InterOp lab at the RSA Conference, 14-18 Feb, in San
Francisco. This year, the Lab will showcase interoperability in real-life

around SAML 2.0. Space at the conference is being underwritten by the U.S.

additional contributions by Enspier and RSA Security. InterOp participants
will collectively cover additional costs. Space is limited and interest is
high. Companies considering participation in this event should review the
OASIS InterOp Policy and contact Andy Moir at andy.moir@oasis-open.org by 3
