Subject: OASIS News--19 April 2005

20 April 2005

Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments, and activities for the international standards consortium.

Members Vote on ebXML Registry, OpenDocument, and DITA

OASIS organizational members are asked to vote on four specifications that have been submitted for consideration as OASIS Standards.
The ebXML Registry Information Model (RIM) v3.0 and ebXML Registry Services and Protocols (RS) v3.0 offer a method for defining and
managing interoperable registries and repositories. OpenDocument provides an XML-based file format specification for office
applications. The Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) provides an end-to-end architecture for authoring, producing, and
delivering readable information as discrete, typed topics. Balloting for all these specifications closes 30 April.
