OASIS News
9 December 2005

Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments, and activities for the international standards consortium.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
WebCGM Becomes Committee Specification

WebCGM v2.0 was recently approved as a Committee Specification. Developed by the OASIS CGM Open WebCGM TC, the specification
advances a vector graphics standard for online technical documents.

Observe the DIPAL Discussion

Observers are welcome in the dialogue to explore a possible new OASIS Domain-Independent Policy Assertion Language (DIPAL) TC. The
new discussion list brings OASIS members and non-members together to examine the potential for a specification that would layer on
top of any Boolean Web services policy framework, including WS-Policy. To minimize spam, it is necessary to subscribe before posting
to this list. Observers are welcome to track the discussion through the list archives.

Düsseldorf, Germany, Georgios is an Observer of the OASIS ebXML, WS-TX, WSBPEL, and WSS TCs. He joins more than 70 CapGemini members
from across 16 countries currently participating in OASIS. As the Consortium prepares to enter its 13th year, it serves 5,000+
participants, representing over 600 organizations and individual members in 100 countries.

OASIS Publishes Guidelines for Case Studies

All interested parties are encouraged to recommend implementations of OASIS Standards that would serve as useful subject material
for OASIS case studies. Developed by OASIS staff or authorized contractors, OASIS case studies are initiated, reviewed, and approved
by one or more OASIS TCs. Writing and production costs for case studies may be funded or other resources provided by OASIS
Foundational Sponsor or Sponsor-level members.
