OASIS News
11 April 2006

Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements,
accomplishments, and activities for the international standards
consortium.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
WSRF and SPML Become OASIS Standards

Consortium members have voted to ratify WSRF v1.2 and SPML v2.0 as OASIS
Standards. WSRF defines an open framework for modeling and accessing
stateful resources using Web services. Service Provisioning Markup
Language (SPML) provides an XML framework for managing the provisioning
and allocation of identity information and system resources within and
between organizations. Congratulations to members of the OASIS WSRF
and Provisioning Service TCs, and thanks to all who participated in the
review and balloting process.
