The enormously successful standard for Web Single Sign-on and Identity Federation is in use around the world in configurations ranging from a single enterprise to country scale federations. The TC webinar will be held on 25 Sept. There is no cost to attend, however, advance registration is required.

CMIS 1.1 public review begins

Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) is a Web services interface specification that enables greater interoperability of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems. CMIS uses Web services and Web 2.0 interfaces to enable rich information to be shared across Internet protocols in vendor-neutral formats, among document systems, publishers and repositories, within one enterprise and between companies. CMIS 1.1 adds a JSON browser binding as well as type mutability, secondary object type, retention and hold support, and other features. The public review ends 10 Oct.

WS-HumanTask 1.1 public review begins

Produced by the BPEL4People TC, this document defines human tasks, as part of business processes, including their properties, behavior, and operations. It includes a coordination protocol for controlling autonomy and life cycle of service-enabled human tasks in an interoperable manner. The public review ends 26 Sept.

KMIP TC publishes four documents

Versions 1.1 of the Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP), Profiles, Usage Guide, and Test Cases have been approved by the TC. KMIP is a single, comprehensive protocol for communication between clients that request any of a wide range of encryption keys and servers that store and manage those keys. An overview of this work will be provided in the KMIP V.Next webinar on 25 Sept. ( http://t.co/jVcFZhy2)

SOA-RAF 1.0 public review begins

Reference Architecture Foundation for SOA d escribes the foundation upon which concrete service oriented architectures can be built. It has three main views: Participation in a SOA Ecosystem; Realization of a SOA Ecosystem; and Ownership in a SOA Ecosystem. The public review ends 14 Oct.
