CMIS 1.1 public review begins
Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) is a Web services interface specification that enables greater interoperability of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems. CMIS uses Web services and Web 2.0 interfaces to enable rich information to be shared across Internet protocols in vendor-neutral formats, among document systems, publishers and repositories, within one enterprise and between companies. CMIS 1.1 adds a JSON browser binding as well as type mutability, secondary object type, retention and hold support, and other features. The public review ends 10 Oct.
