Cloud Application Management for Platforms (CAMP) TC forms
This group will advance an interoperable protocol that cloud implementers can use to package and deploy their applications. CAMP defines interfaces for self-service provisioning, monitoring, and control. Based on REST, CAMP is expected to foster an ecosystem of common tools, plugins, libraries and frameworks. TC proposers include Cloudsoft, JumpSoft, Oracle, Red Hat, Software AG, Standing Cloud, and others. Jeff Mischkinsky of Oracle is the convener; a TC chair or two co-chairs will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held by teleconference on 23 Oct. All interested parties are invited to participate; contact join@oasis-open.org for details.

Jun Qian of Primeton elected to Technical Advisory Board (TAB)
Dr. Qian joins the TAB in its mission to continually improve the standards development process and quality of OASIS Standards through the production of guidelines and educational materials. He represents Foundational Sponsor, Chinese Primeton Technology Company. His term extends to July 2014.

Members propose AMQP Bindings and Mappings TC
All interested parties are asked to review and comment on a draft charter to establish the OASIS AMQP Bindings and Mappings Technical Committee. The group will define bindings of AMQP 1.0 core protocol to underlying transports other than TCP, to define mappings of the AMQP 1.0 core protocol to existing well-known programming APIs, and to define representations of the AMQP 1.0 message format in existing well-known languages. TC proposers include Foundational Sponsor, Microsoft, and Sponsors, Red Hat, Software AG, VMware, and others. Laurie Bryson of JPMorgan Chase Bank serves as convener. The member comment period for this draft charter closes 15 Oct.

Members propose Public Administration Cloud Requirements (PACR) TC
The group will develop a set of common required functional elements and measurable criteria or qualities that should be present in cloud computing services or installations employed by public sector administrations. John Borras serves as convener. All interested parties are asked to review and comment on the PACR draft charter by 9 Oct.

OASIS Standard vote opens for Test Assertions Model 1.0
Balloting is now underway and will close 15 Oct. Test Assertions Model 1.0 specifies the structure and semantics of a measurable _expression_ for evaluating the adherence of an implementation to one or more normative statements in a specification. The Model allows for writing test assertions that bridge the narrative of a specification with the related test suite, acting as an intermediary step toward the development of executable test cases. The Model was developed by OASIS Sponsors, Axway, Fujitsu, Oracle, US NIST, and others. All organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote on Test Assertions Model 1.0; those who wish to discuss the ballot may do so through oasis-member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org.

TC approves XACML 3.0
The new Committee Specification defines version 3.0 of the core XML schema for representing authorization and entitlement policies. Congratulations to TC Foundational Sponsors, IBM, Microsoft, and Primeton, and to Sponsors, Axiomatics, Boeing, CA Technologies, Cisco, EMC, Jericho, Oracle, Quest, Red Hat, SailPoint, US Veterans Health Administration, and ViewDS, and to all other XACML TC members.

SAML Asynchronous Single Logout Profile public review begins
This document defines an extension to the SAML 2.0 Single Logout Protocol that allows the initiator to indicate that it does not expect to receive a response from the session authority. This improves user interface interoperability in deployments that want the identity provider to control the user experience during logout. The public review ends 28 Oct.

AS4 Profile of ebMS 3.0 public review begins
This B2B protocol uses modern underlying Web Services technology and is easier to implement for small and medium size enterprises. The public review ends 30 Nov.

In'tl Cloud Symposium to feature updates on NSTIC and CAMP
