OASIS held a planning call for initial Proposers of the Cybersecurity Standards User Council on Friday, May 19, where the following items were discussed:
2) Proposers discussed scope and operation issues (e.g., focus only on cyber standards or also crypto, key management, privacy...hold quarterly updates from TCs, provide input by request of TCs...). We concluded that these are critical topics that should be more broadly discussed and decided on by members of the User Council based on their needs and interests.
3) The final list of User Council Proposers and the public Call for Participation will be issued on Friday, May 26. Members may be added to the Proposer list by contacting
carol.geyer@oasis-open.org by Thursday, May 25.
4) Alex Foley of Bank of America will chair a pre-launch half-day meeting of the User Council in New York on Tuesday, June 20, in advance of the Borderless Cyber conference. Members and non-members are invited to attend. Details are at:
5) Joerg Eschweiler will convene the User Council via teleconference on 26 June. A chair or two co-chairs will be elected at this meeting.
6) "Cyber Standards Council" will be used as the short name for the group.
