Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (ODATA-935) Allow singletons to be members of an entity set
[ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/ODATA-935?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=62736#comment-62736 ] Michael Pizzo commented on ODATA-935: ------------------------------------- We say that singletons can't be deleted; what does it mean to delete a member of an entity set that is also a singleton? Would we disallow deleting a member of the collection if it was a singleton, or would we just state that it may be disallowed, or the service may have other behavior (i.e., it may pick a new member to be singleton). Presumably the client should already be prepared to deal with either case (a delete failing, or a singleton changing). > Allow singletons to be members of an entity set > ----------------------------------------------- > > Key: ODATA-935 > URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/ODATA-935 > Project: OASIS Open Data Protocol (OData) TC > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: OData CSDL > Affects Versions: V4.0_ERRATA02 > Environment: Proposed > Reporter: Ralf Handl > Fix For: V4.01_WD01 > > > Sometimes candidates for singletons are also members of entity sets, e.g. "Me" will also be in "People", "Contoso" will also be in "Companies". -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2.2#6258)
