DISCUSSION: See attendance list. No objections. Agreed. PB,

2  Status of rec.

DISCUSSION: RS. PK said we need 3 full implementations of 1.1 for Oasis endorsed spec, by November date. IBM won't be till Jan. This vs technical committee version.

• MT. Need 3 promises, not 3 full implementations.
• RS. If we can't do an Oasis spec, then suggest push for a TC version. Then gives us a released version. Then TC decision if want to produce 2 specs in one year. Merge with 1.2 would be governing factor.

DISCUSSION: RS. Posted a version (dated 24 Sept). RS, PB now in. RS will wrap into latest. Then missing Peter Korn section. Assume no CA changes. Firm request now for review over weekend. Next step to make use of volunteer technical writer.

• JS: to pursue further investigation of background image ALT text in W3C and elsewhere.
• JS: Contact AFB, APH, & Brian Charlson about making an ODF testimonial
• All: review the ODF Accessibility Guidelines document to date, provide feedback (due by end of month). Feedback to Peter Korn.
• RS: Contact Robert Weir on subtable edits being moved to accessibility guidelines. Now aware. PB: Section on subtable. Done.
• DC: Write up. Use of a scope attribute for improved access to table structure. Done.

Action item: Re-ask Janina about background images.
