subtitle: A secondary or subordinate title.

caret (also cursor or insertion point): The point in a document where any
inserted text will be placed.

I think compatibility would need replacing, it is a relative term.

interoperability. Similarly we would need to define that with respect
to another system or version. I.e. both need context.
