Subject: Groups - OpenFormula Specification 2007-01-25 (ODT) (openformula-20070125.odt) uploaded

Here's an update to the OpenFormula specification. My thanks to Eike
Rathke and Helen Yue for their work! If you're making a contribution - and
I encourage EVERYONE in the group to contribute this week - please start
with this version. I want to make it "function complete" by the end of
this month (which, being a Wednesday, is the next cycle-end). To ensure
that those who CAN contribute this week will have the opportunity to do so,
I'm releasing all locks. If you want to work on a section, tell me ASAP
(and which section)... I will be VERY GRATEFUL!

Even if you can only do ONE function this week, it would be a TREMENDOUS
HELP. So please, consider agreeing to write the definition for ONE
function this week... and with everyone's help, we can wrap it up this
week. Thanks.

 -- Mr. David Wheeler

The document revision named OpenFormula Specification 2007-01-25 (ODT)
(openformula-20070125.odt) has been submitted by Mr. David Wheeler to the
OpenDocument - Formula document repository. This document is revision #37
of openformula-spec-20060221.odt.

Document Description:
OpenFormula is an open format for exchanging recalculated formulas between
office application implementations, particularly for spreadsheets.
OpenFormula defines the types, syntax, and semantics for calculated
formulas, including many predefined functions and operations, so that
formulas can be exchanged between applications and produce substantively
equal outputs when recalculated with equal inputs. Both closed and open
source software can implement OpenFormula.

OpenFormula is intended to be a supporting document to the Open Document
Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) format, particularly for
defining its attributes table:formula and text:formula. It can be used in
other circumstances where a simple, easy-to-read infix notation is desired
for exchanging recalculated formulas.
