2007/2/24, David A. Wheeler <dwheeler@dwheeler.com>: > But I believe nearly all the spreadsheet apps computed -2^2 as 4, and 2^3^4 as (2^3)^4. I'll redo those calculations on a large number of different apps, so we can at least see who does what. Actual data (instead of guessing) is a good thing methinks. At least it'll give us something specific to discuss. The ^ operator used to be right-associative in KSpread, but then, as a follow-up to the earlier discussions, I have changed it to be left-associative. Thus, at least some applications are already affected by what was discussed earlier. / Tomas
