Subject: Regrets
Greetings! Apologies but I won't make the call this morning. I have a conflicting conference call on a TC formation issue. I do have a question that I would like to bring up for discussion, perhaps next week? The issue is whether we should define one or more "environments" to which evalutors or documents could conform? Thinking that after a number of hours looking at the portable document material, the issue of calculation settings, numerical models, etc. that actually they all fit into a concept of declaring the environment in which calculations are going to occur. I don't know if that would work but it struck me as a possible way to talk about calculations in particular environments, such as where the calculation settings are in force, without difficult language about how they "honor" the settings, etc. No, the calculations simply occur in that environment. I think that may be a way to clean up a number of issues in one fell swoop. I will try to write something up more formally for discussion next week. Hope everyone is having a great week!
