Or common? I'm no expert, but I think that for the USA we are looking at NIST (ie. SHA1, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512) and for Europe we are looking at NESSIE (i.e. WHIRLPOOL, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512). My vote is for the NESSIE list, while making support for SHA256 and WHIRLPOOL mandatory. -- "I AM in shape. Round IS a shape."
