Subject: correction and improvement of integration of"proposal for new reference formats for reference fields of type bookmark andreference"
Dear TC members, I have recognized that the integration of "proposal for new reference formats for reference fields of type bookmark and reference" - see http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/200701/msg00061.html - did not went very well. The two new supported reference formats "number-all-superior" and "number" are describing nearly the same, but they are different. The current specification text in our ODF 1.2 draft does not reflect the proposal correctly. Thus, a correction is needed. I would like to give the following correction and improvement to the corresponding specification text for ODF 1.2 - see chapter 18.1109 in ODF 1.2 draft "OpenDocument-v1.2draft7-3": <old> number-all-superior: Displays the contents of the list label of the referenced item and adds the contents of the list labels of superior levels in front of it. The list labels of a superior level is only added if the number of this certain superior level and the numbers of its superior levels aren't already included in the list label of the referenced item. </old> improved to <new> number-all-superior: Displays the contents of the list label of the referenced item and adds the contents of all list labels of superior levels in front of it. Additional condition, which suppresses the addition of a superior level's list label content: The list label of the referenced item can already contain numbers of superior levels. Assume X to be the level of the most superior level contained in the list label. Then no list label content of superior levels greater or equal than X are added. </new> <old> number: Displays the contents of the list label of the referenced item. The contents of the list labels of superior list levels are added in front, but only if the number of the certain superior list level and the numbers of its superior list levels aren't already included in the list label of the referenced item. </old> corrected and improved to <new> number: Displays the contents of the list label of the referenced item. To unambiguous identify the referenced item at the document position of the reference field, the content of all needed superior levels are added in front. The needed superior levels of the referenced item are the ones, which differ from the superior levels of the document position of the reference field. Additional condition, which suppresses the addition of a superior level's list label content: The list label of the referenced item can already contain numbers of superior levels. Assume X to be the level of the most superior level contained in the list label. Then no list label content of superior levels greater or equal than X are added. </new> Regards, Oliver. -- ======================================================================= Sun Microsystems GmbH Oliver-Rainer Wittmann Nagelsweg 55 Software Engineer - OpenOffice.org/StarOffice 20097 Hamburg Phone: (+49 40) 23 646 670 Germany Fax: (+49 40) 23 646 550 http://www.sun.de mailto:oliver-rainer.wittmann@sun.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Sitz der Gesellschaft: Sun Microsystems GmbH, Sonnenallee 1, D-85551 Kirchheim-Heimstetten Amtsgericht Muenchen: HRB 161028 Geschaeftsfuehrer: Thomas Schroeder, Wolfgang Engels, Dr. Roland Boemer Vorsitzender des Aufsichtsrates: Martin Haering ======================================================================= Oliver-Rainer Wittmann (od) - OpenOffice.org Writer OpenOffice.org Engineering at Sun: http://blogs.sun.com/GullFOSS
