Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-1651) Editor Note: Section17.319 form:validation

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1651?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=11573#action_11573 ]

Patrick Durusau commented on OFFICE-1651:

OK, so using your example, I have a numeric input field, "validation=true" and I try to type "d."

How does the interface "auto-corrects invalid inputs to something valid?"

Seems like what I want is rejection of the input. Auto-correction seems rather iffy.

How about:

(first sentence as is, then)

The defined values for the form:validation attribute are:

true: invalid content is not allowed during input

false: invalid content is allowed during input

I may still be missing the semantics of this attribute.

If so, apologies and please try again.
