Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2059) Resolve potentialambiguity with optionality in leading "=" and "=="
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2059?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16341#action_16341 ] Eike Rathke commented on OFFICE-2059: ------------------------------------- The duplicated '==' equal sign is already current practice, we should not change that arbitrarily. Btw, '~' would be the union operator. I agree that presence of a leading '=' and the '==' recalculation option belong to the hosting language. However, we should not remove the leading '=' and the '==' ForceRecalc option from the OpenFormula syntax, it should be possible to properly parse an entire attribute's value (excluding a leading namespace of course) as expression. In OpenFormula we can define leading '=' and '==' as optional. > Resolve potential ambiguity with optionality in leading "=" and "==" > -------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: OFFICE-2059 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2059 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Task > Components: OpenFormula, Table > Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 > Environment: This comment applies to the current working draft of open formula > Reporter: Dennis Hamilton > Priority: Minor > Fix For: ODF 1.2 > > > Between statements in ODF 1.2 Part 1 where OpenFormula formulae may be hosted, and the description of the use of optional namespace prefix, leading "=", and the extra leading "==" for recalculation control, I am concerned that this situation has unresolvable ambiguities. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
