Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-3403) 9.1.13 - Needclarification about the behavior of the table:title element

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-3403?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=22409#action_22409 ]

Dennis Hamilton commented on OFFICE-3403:
-----------------------------------------

OH WAIT. I don't think the accessibilty support should be removed.

It seems to me that the accessibility support may depend very much on the fact that it is the table that is being presented by the consumer as its selection of the <draw:frame> element to present.

It is too much to presume that the <svg:title> and <svg:desc> are sufficient to this task independent of which one of the <draw:frame> children is being presented by the consumer. One is specific to the "drill-down" that depends on the actual <draw:frame> child that is being presented, one is about the <draw:frame> no matter how it is being presented.

This is different than the <draw:frame> caption and the inclusion of whatever that is in an index, although that might be a little odd too.

> Section 9.1.13 states that this element cannot be used when the table is within a frame. There is no explaination as to why that is.
