STATUS & OPTIONS: XML Manifest Schema issue (missing '+' character in pattern)

Dear TC members,

In general, I would suggest that we are moving easy important topics to the beginning of our agenda and the long discussions to the end.

ForÂexample, we might start with our manifest schema regression issue: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-4046

The fix seems not important for implementorsÂwithin the TC, as Michael Stahl stated that neither MSO nor LO is using the corrupted pattern.

My two question towards OASIS:ÂÂ

1. First of all, I would be curious what OASIS is offering for options and what 'costs/efforts' are related to each option?
2. Strange, that such a regression error, where some agreed behaviour was corruptedÂby editorial changes (automated sorting of RelaxNG pattern), can not be fixed by editorialÂchange?
3. What 'costs/efforts' would be involved if this would have to be fixed within an ISO review?ÂÂ
   

I believe our current aim is to simply target the problem to 1.4 or perhaps fix it as part of any errata that may come in the future.
