Subject: Sample - Sample only - of terms of submission to ISO
Greetings!Chet Ensign forwarded a terms of submission to ISO document that is quite different from others in my experience at OASIS.
Most of it is boiler plate but pay attention to g/ - tests of interoperability - does anyone have a list of where that has been done for ODF 1.3?
OASIS appears ready to submit ODF 1.3 "as is" so we avoid changes that might be confusing.
My suggestion is that the TC instruct the editors to prepare the request and to submit it for the Special Majority Vote (which requires members of the TC to approve the document)
That kicks off this process: ****** Steps for ISO PAS submission - TC prepares a submission request using our template.- TC requests a Special Majority Vote to approve submitting the request to the OASIS President (7 days)
- President reviews and confirms the completeness of the request (up to 15 days).
- Staff posts the submission request to oasis-member-discuss@ mailing list for comment. (30 days)
- At the end of the comment period, the President shall have up to 15 days to approve or reject the submission request. The President will transmit the decision to the submission requesters and all OASIS Members (15 days)
- Staff, on behalf of the President, transmit the submission to the receiving organization, and commit OASIS to the submission process, no earlier than the 15th day after the notice of decision is transmitted and no later than the 45th day thereafter.
