Subject: RE: interop advisory, example

Also, it is unlikely that I will be able to attend Wednesday's conference call. I will be in Paris for the annual TC 171 f2f meetings, and if I remember the schedule correctly, Wednesday afternoon is one of the times I'm double booked there.

I knew it was about time for you to gently remind us you would like feedback so I was reading through this Wednesday. :)

I like the way you get both a set of advisories and a set of test files from one effort.

First question: would all the issues from the unpublished "Interop Profile" be turned into advisories?
Second questions: The acronym is probably obvious, but I'm tired tonight and drawing a blank - what is SVN?

On the proposed workflow:
3.2 Does "Contact ODF TC" mean log a JIRA issue on the ODF TC database?
4.2 Would a vote during a call also be acceptable to publish an advisory? Or only an eballot? Would we need to wait for an eballot if we had a call happening within a few days of all JIRA issues being resolved?
5.2 Is there a Technical Report template? That might be more appropriate for a collection of advisories than a specification template.

On the example advisory:
Do you also need to explicitly say that a Consumer that does not support track changes should not lose the element if the file is saved in that application?

Hi,

any comments so far ? I'd really like to nail this down before the next call :-)

Thanks

Subject: [oic] interop advisory, example

Hi,

as discussed during the last TC call, I've created an example on how I think an
Interop Advisory could look like:

http://wiki.oasis-open.org/oic/InteropAdvisories

I've also added a suggestion for a workflow.

Keywords:

- practical
- focused
- fast consensus

Even if the proposed advisory turns out to be an implementation bug, it might
still be useful for creating an ODF test suite (or as input for the next State of
Interop report)

Best regards

Bart
