PDF is not pixel perfect. I will repeat it is not pixel perfect. It is only what I call Layout Perfect. Everything stays on the right page and right relative locations to each other. Fonts might even be the wrong fonts. So this does not effect PDF layout all text is in bounding boxes so over sized or too small of font does not effect its layout math. Oversized is PDF mess since text just disappears. There are other layout formats out there that don't use bounding boxes yet they keep all the right relative locations. Way around bounding boxes is being tighter on font rendering and wrapping allowances so rounding errors don't cause incorrect wrapping. PDF is a complete pain in a but format developed on the old ps format that was also a pain in but for editing. Reason why other typesetting programs exist that translate into PS and PDF. If ODF turns into PDF pain to edit someone needs killing. Latex is still heavy used in a lot of places due to PS and PDF issues of editing and it produces as good as documents and either PS or PDF can but is also a lot nicer to edit. Peter Dolding
