Also, if you are not aware of it, the OpenDocument
Fellowship also hosts an ODF Validator here: http://opendocumentfellowship.com/validator
These validators are not similar to our work. Remember,
we're not producing the code. We're producing the specification that
defines the test cases.
What you see with these validators is more like the
relationship of OpenOffice and KOffice when ODF was proposed. The
existence of applications in this space validates the need for standards
to define their storage format. Similarly, the existence of multiple
tools claiming to test ODF conformance validates the need for the standardized
output of the proposed OIIC TC.
