Jeff, 

Thank you again for taking time to discuss all the possible ways Open CSA
Member Section might participate in our upcoming OASIS Symposium.  By
taking
on the theme "Composability within Service Oriented Architectures"
we're
hopeful that the Member Section and related TCs will take advantage of
all
the possibilities discussed (also listed below). As you already know, the
Symposium has always been a great place to educate members on the progress
of your technical work, discover related effort, appeal for input, and
identify areas for liaison and development.  

In addition, the staff is very excited about all the new ideas circulating
around this year's event. We're also pleased to announce that we're moving
forward with a plan to bring on a marketing partner to increase our audience
type and size.  A final agreement is currently being discussed with
IDC
(www.idc.com) to be that marketing partner.  We're confident that
all our
efforts will pay off and this year's Symposium will be our largest yet.
 

We do hope that Open CSA MS will consider becoming an official supporter
of
the event and will participate in the following ways:  

1. suggest keynote speakers/topics 

2. review and comment on the call for presentations (by Monday, 22 October
-
latest version attached)

3. encourage SCA and SDO submissions for presentations and tutorials

4. consider an Open CSA vendor showcase, press briefing, F2F meetings,
and/or recruiting workshop to attract new participation in Open CSA
