Amit Fisher is CTO, IBM IoT Continuous Engineering Solution . In his role Amit is responsible for promoting and pushing forward new innovative IoT and Continuous Engineering solutions in the Aerospace and Defense, Automotive and Electronic industries. Amit works with a range of clients and helps them use new innovative technologies to shape the future of Systems and Software Engineering methods and tools. Prior to his CTO role, Amit was a senior manager at IBM Research, Haifa, where he worked closely with IBM clients and partners in developing new approaches for complex systems design and analysis and tool integration. Amit’s team was one of the first teams to implement REST based API to support advanced tool integration patterns, and using these REST APIs for tool data management, indexing and analytics. Amit was involved in defining the main principles of OSLC – Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration – during the formative stages of the OSLC community. He continues to refine, apply, and teach how to simplify collaboration across the software and product delivery lifecycle. Prior to joining IBM, Amit served as Information Systems engineer officer at the Israeli Air Force, where he designed and led complex development projects in supply chain management and service management. Amit has a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management and a M.SC. degree in Information System Engineering from the Technion, Israel and can be reached at amfisher’at’us.ibm.com
