Subject: Re: [oslc-ms] OSLC SC Candidate Keis

Dear Scott, Dear OSLC Community,

I just want to use the opportunity to introduce myself to the community - at least to those who don’t know me already.
Within Airbus I’m part of Airbus CTO organization and I’m in charge of our Systems Engineering Processes and Platforms. So, I’m in charge of shaping our next generation development platform for our systems/products. At Airbus we’re faced with the challenge, that some of our products have a lifetime of 70+ years and therefore we need to ensure accessibility to engineering data during the entire lifecycle. Furthermore, we want to inject new innovative methods and tools into our product development process at any time. We believe that open standards - like OSLC - are key to master this challenges and help us regarding sustainability and protection of our investments.

I’m supporting OSLC since it’s early days and I’m proud that I could help to transform OSLC from a web community to a well organized standard, hosted by OASIS. On European level, I’m collaborating with colleagues from Healthcare, Automotive, Rail and Aerospace industries as well as with Tool Providers to promote OSLC and to work on public proof-of-concept demonstrators. Have a look at CRYSTAL research project for more information (http://www.crystal-artemis.eu/).

Within Airbus, I’m also part of our Airbus Strategic Standardization Committee, where I’m helping to adopt and implement OSLC for our purposes.

Regarding the future of OSLC, we need to work on a sustainable roadmap regarding the further development of OSLC. I believe that there are many companies out there, like Airbus, which want to use OSLC for their product development, as well as tool providers, which want to adopt OSLC in order to provide innovative products and services to their customers. Therefore, we need to create sustainable and innovative roadmaps for OSLC and ensure that our technical committees do create specifications accordingly. I will put this on my agenda for the next two years as well as a further development of our community.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me, if you have further questions or comments about OSLC strategy / future or how we apply OSLC within Airbus. I’m more than happy to share our experiences with the community!

Best regards,
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

Congratulations, you've completed the steps necessary to be considered a candidate for election to the OSLC Steering Committee.

In previous emails you have described your qualifications as:

I belong to AirbusGroup France and our organization belongs to the OSLC MS.

If you wish to expand on that information and further explain your interest or qualifications, you are welcome to do so--if you think it might help others know you and vote for you as a candidate.

Thanks for your offer of service to the OSLC community,

Scott...

Please know that my original message to the Member Sections contained a typo in the email address for nominations. If you send your nomination to the incorrect address it will bounce.

Many of you have figured out what i meant in spite of what I typed, but if you are still struggling, the email alias for submitting and accepting nominations is sc-election@oasis-open.org<mailto:sc-election@oasis-open.org>

Thanks,

Scott...
