Scott, I would like to nominate myself for a seat on the OSLC steering committee.

I hold the position of Technical Fellow at PTC where I am chief architect for the OSLC infrastructure project, prior to that chief architect on a series of integration projects and chief architect on the ALM product. With over 25 years in software development experience, I work closely with the Office of the CTO and product management as technical lead on new product development.

I am currently co-chair of the OSLC Core TC. We are entering the final phase of development of the core standard. Once the v3 standard has been accepted we will be well positioned to start broadening the scope of TC development into new domains such as IoT, Digital Thread and Augmented Reality. This will be a great opportunity to get a diverse set of business subject matter experts involved in the concurrent development of these domains.

As a representative of a major tool vendor in the systems engineering space, my participation on the steering committee should help broaden the appeal of the standard so that OSLC compliance will become an expectation rather than a bonus. My priorities for the next two years will be to encourage greater participation in the technical committees and encourage adoption of OSLC among both tool vendors and manufacturers.

Dr. Martin Sarabura

R&D Fellow, PTC
