Dear OASIS OSLC Member Section,

I’d like to nominate myself for the upcoming OASIS-OSLC Steering Committee elections and accept the nomination.

I have been involved with OSLC since April of this year. I am currently acting as the de-facto Community Manager, with my primary project of re-building the website nearing completion.

I have 20 years experience in the IT industry. Most of that time I have been a software architect/developer contracting on projects large and small for companies such as TomTom, Facebook, Microsoft, and Zemanta. More recently, I worked for Mozilla as a global community manager, collaborating with thousands of volunteers to help drive open Internet campaigns and product objectives. My current position is at Koneksys, a company deeply invested in the future of OSLC. I look forward to helping re-invigorate OSLC for a wider audience and pushing the boundaries with new initiatives after the new site is launched.

the OSLC Member Section Steering Committee has elected representatives that require your review this year.

There are six seats eligible for nomination-- shown below as expiring in 2017.

Nominations for these seats start on September 1 and will close on 15 September.  NOTE the policy does not provide for the nomination period to be extended--all nominations MUST be received by September 15.

You may nominate yourself or any current Member Section Member by email to sc-election@oasis-open-open.org 

Nominations must be accepted by the nominee, by email to both sc-election@oasis-open.org and oslc-ms@lists.oasis-open.org  Nominees are encouraged to share some background information to help the voters know who they are.

If there are more than six  nominations, voting will take place 16-30 September via a closed ballot. Otherwise, the candidates are automatically selected.
