configuration and assembly

Hi

We currently have two capabilities on the design side that deal with assembly and configuration.

representing_assembly_structure and

representing_product _configuration

 

The assembly capability just deals with  next assembly usage.

The configuration brings in product-configuration and item-design-association etc

I think that the assembly capability should bring attachment slot as well.

 

Right now on the as realized side we just have

representing_product_as_realized_configuration

 

The question is:

 Should there be a representing_assembly_structure_as_realized (or some such name)

 Or should the assembly and configuration be combined in both the design and the as realized?

 

Personally, I would rather keep them separate as I am not convinced that all dexs will always want the configuration stuff.
