Subject: RE: [plcs-dex] State and view definitions
Hi Leif I wasn’t proposing removing the state associated with the version, simply adding state to view definition. As for business driver, I was thinking more about modelling and implementation and about tying a state to a view. Especially when you consider that properties are specific to a view, not a version. So if you want to say that this product as realized is in this state because of these properties, you have to refer to the properties in the context of the view.
Maybe, I have just given the reason why state should not be tied to a view. In other words you want to be able to say that something is in a given state because of properties observed in multiple views.

A state associated with a version of a product - YES - especially since a Product_as_realized is a subtype of version.
So I do not think that this should be replaced.
A state associated with a view definition. ? Whats the business driver ??
