OASIS PLCS TC - Next F2F meeting

The DEX Publication Project Steering Group has just held a review teleconference, noting that while good progress is being made, some of their tasks are running 2-5 weeks behind schedule.   Most of the templates are complete, along with the associated checklists, and the capabilities are also loaded on DEXlib.  Once the reference data harmonisation is done, there will be an opportunity to start much wider use of non-core team resources for the purposes of review.

 

The slippage has been due to some delays in converting resource commitments into actual deployments, and those organisations committing resource to the project have been encouraged to ensure that their core team staff can be made available to complete the necessary preparatory work.  Once the results are subjected to broader review in the TC, it is anticipated that some additional effort will be required to address comments.

 

The group have also strongly recommended that the planned TC meeting on 25-26 April be converted into a Core Team working session, with the TC deferred until June.  While I recognise that this may cause problems for some members that may have already made travel plans, both Tor Arne and I agree that such a postponement is appropriate.

 

Please advise whether this approach causes unsurmountable difficulties, and also your availability for a TC meeting in the period 11-21 June.
