Subject: RE: [provision] Agenda for 09/30/2002 PSTC con-call
Although they seem at first glance to be similar, Use Cases 1 and 2 are distinct. In Use Case 1 they RA is providing the PSU-ID with the request. In Use Case 2 the RA is not providing the PSU-ID, and the PSP creates the PSU-ID and returns it in the response. Use Cases 9 and 10 are distinct in the same way. In Use Case 9 the PSP provides the PSTD-ID on the request and in Use Case 10 the PST generates the PSTD-ID and returns it on the response. I don't understand your comment about use cases 15, 16, and 17. They are titled: Use Case 15: RA - PSP: Query PSU Schema Use Case 16: RA - PSP: Query Available PST's Use Case 17: RA - PSP: Query PST Schema What was your concern around these use cases? Are you concerned that Query PSU schema was too similar to Query PST schema? This is to support use cases 1-3, which deals with the PSP user management. Since this is the case I suggest that we PSP will support the LDAP user object. There are few reasons 1. LDAP user object is the most popular between the suggested standard. 2. Most of the provisioning tool out there today are based on LDAP directory and already support this entity. This will ease the integration between SPML and legacy provision systems Another issue While going over the use case document version 4 I notice that use case 1 appears twice ( as 1 and 2). also use case 15-17 have the same name and use cases 9,10.
