I propose we move back to a bi-monthly schedule, same day, same time and set the following meeting in our calendar: August 4th 2003 - 10am CT August 18th 2003 - 10am CT September 1st 2003 - 10am CT September 15th 2003 - 10am CT September 29th 2003 - 10am CT 4 - Analyst Update Required --------------------------- At Burton Catalysts last week an anonymous, somewhat informal document was distributed at the conference that detailed some of the concerns and issues IBM and Microsoft has with the 1.0 committee specification. This document was distributed at the Microsoft hospitality suit and was most certainly received and reviewed by at the very least the Burton analysts. Where as this document did accurately describe some of the concerns IBM had posted prior to the 1.0 CS, it did unfortunately contain several errors and inconsistencies that the committee may have to address. I have included a copy of the document at [2]. Please read this document prior to the meeting. Several members feel that we need to respond as follows: 1 - Take serious credence of the issues raised and ensure these are included in our post 1.0 review and on-going process. 2 - Respond to Burton with a short white paper that addresses the errors in the document and clearly identify those concerns that are clearly addressed in the current proposed 2.0 roadmap. 5 - Roadmap Summit - A near term face-2-face -------------------------------------------- In light of 4 (above) and in keeping with general discussions before the 1.0 CS submission, we urgently need to review the positions/concerns of Microsoft and IBM. Yes this issue will be an ongoing item of TC business, that said, does it make sense to start this discussion with an all hands face to face meeting in the very near future.
