Subject: RE: [public-sector-cloud-discuss] Another European cloud study
Thanks Colin. A very useful input into our deliberations. The report’s conclusions map very closely to the issues discussed at our ICS 2011 and I would envisage we would pick up on most of them in the proposed TC. It demonstrates that cloud computing could induce savings and facilitate innovative online services. However, it finds that barriers to take-up of cloud computing are manifold. It concludes that in order to seize the benefits of cloud computing, priority actions for EU policymakers are addressing legislation-related gaps, improving terms and conditions for users, tackling stakeholder security oncerns, encouraging the public sector cloud, and promoting further research and development in cloud computing..."
