Title: Discussion Topics and Functional Points Mapping Documents

Hi All,

Attached please find 2 documents: the most recent Functional Points mapping document (now with a version #), and the Discussion Topics document I mentioned yesterday. Please let me know if you have any comments on either of these documents. You will find several places in the Discussion Topics document where I have added points - these are marked with "[ADDED BY JOE]".

Regarding the Functional Points document:

Categories:

I've added 2 new categories - "V" (covered by vendor tools) and "O" (open - in discussion). You will see that most of the items are marked "O", which I believe accurately reflects our current status on those items.

Requirements:

I changed the "Requirements" column heading to "Assumptions" (I think this better described the column). I also made the list of assumptions more fine-grained than before - e.g. "A search should be made on the registry..." yields an Assumption of "Registry is searchable". This ensures that no details are overlooked.

I changed the general tone of the Assumptions to use "can" - e.g. Core components can be stored in registry

Notes:

I added a "Notes" column where the categories would be elaborated on - i.e. how is functionality covered in registry, etc. For those assumptions that were covered by base registry functionality, I indicated this.

If there was a likelyhood that functionality involving a "new" item (such as a Core Component, BIE, etc. - as opposed to Business Process) could be covered by base registry functionality, I still assigned an "Open" category for now
