Subject: FW: METEOR-S Web Service Annotation Framework Release

FYI for awareness, from the W3C Semantic Web Services Interest Group -
not sure if this is valuable to our initiative or not. "MWSAF(METEOR-S
Web Service Annotation Framework) provides a GUI which enables users to
semi-automatically annotate Web services with existing ontologies.".

Cheers,

Subject: METEOR-S Web Service Annotation Framework Release

Hi,

The METEOR-S team at the LSDIS Lab is pleased to announce the release
of the METEOR-S Web Service Annotation Framework (MWSAF). Here are the
highlights of this tool:

* MWSAF(METEOR-S Web Service Annotation Framework) provides a GUI which
enables users to semi-automatically annotate Web services with
existing
  ontologies.

* It uses a variety of matching algorithms and techniques for
predicting the matches. Some of the algorithms /techniques used are
    - NGram for linguistic similarity
    - Exploitation of relationships in wordnet
    - Abbreviation dictionary
Further details of these algorithms are present in our WWW2004 paper
available at http://lsdis.cs.uga.edu/lib/download/POSV-WWW2004.pdf

* This release includes source code and samples and can be accessed at
  http://lsdis.cs.uga.edu/Projects/METEOR-S/MWSAF/

* The METEOR-S project aims to develop a suite of tools for the complete
lifecycle of Semantic Web Processes and the timeline for the release
of
other tools like the semantic Web service publisher and dynamic
service
composer and optimizer is present on our project page at
  http://lsdis.cs.uga.edu/Projects/METEOR-S

* Please feel free to post queries and comments about our tools and
paper
at the METEOR-S Visitors Forum (http://lsdis.cs.uga.edu/forum)

Thanks,
The METEOR-S Team
