Everyone,

As a second ebXML Reg/Rep effort, we will also provide an ebXML Reg/Rep
tutorial.  Many inputs were received on this brief and some changes are
pending to add a health care use case and a bit more realignment. Note
that several slides have changing graphics and are separate slides
(instead of flash changes).

This tutorial will describe an ebXML Registry/Repository and how it has
been implemented in multiple business environments. The tutorial will
include:

*       Description of a registry and repository

*       Definition of its role in and value to business

*       Its functions in an eBusiness architecture

*       Use cases and implementation specifics

This tutorial will also include a panel question-and-answer session to
engage the attendees in the use cases presented and how implementation
of an ebXML Registry/Repository relates to their business needs and
plans.

defines features and functions of version 2.0 Standard, and then

Providing an introduction to the XML Registry Standard developed by
OASIS/ebXML, this session will briefly describe what it is, what it
does, key features, and the current status of the standard. Features
that will be coming with version 3.0 will be introduced, including event
notification, cooperation between ebXML registries and federated
registries, lifecycle management, content management services, and
content based queries.
