Subject: Re: [regrep] Groups - Using Registry & OWL Research Objectives :ProjectsProf. Asuman Dogac modified
Belated Regrets. I was part of an ADobe team attending a Government of Canada session yesterday in Ottawa and presenting a key piece of advanced technology to use CC's, BIE's within an ebXML Registry and demonstrating an assembly utility that could communicate with the registry to retrieve a core component, apply a context declaration to further constrain it to a BIE, then extract the BIE as a schema fragment and aggregate it onto a larger schema. The larger schema was then fed into the Adobe Forms Designer product and a form was built based upon the constraints of the schema and deployed to a production environment all within a few minutes. This shows a low cost, quick way to bootstrap using ebXML Core Components within a registry and build them into transactions. This worked very well and they are keen to continue the work. (Thanks to Matt M. for the hard work preparing the technical bits.) Other news is that the GoC is likely to further embrace the ebXMl Registry work. Several key players within the GoC got up and presented the ebXML registry work they had done and it was a resounding success. Both the Yellow Dragon Registry server and the open source ebXML RR are favored by the government because of their feature sets but they are always open to exploring new implementations too. I took off my vendor at and promoted both and the work of this group with great success. My slides are available upon request.
